Oh, I actually agree that academia is toxic to an extent. They value quantity over quality work most of the time. And many researchers and professors are against that. I personally, think that scientific publication should fundamentally change. The way it is now discourages people from pursuing science and it is more about money than the actual pursuit and spread of science.

There is so much proof of quantum physics, especially quantum field theory. The disagreement is not because we don’t understand it, it is because it is odd to us. The math explains things perfectly, it is just the interpersonal of that math is what physicists disagree on. And the topic often gets philosophical. But despite that, we can actually build quantum computers and use quantum systems to build applications. This is actually one of the most interesting topics I like to discuss.

Academics are scientists, but not all scientists are academics, nor do most of them want to be. There’re pros and cons for any path in science or life.

When we try to explain complex concepts, one way to approach that is by narrowing them down to the most simple case possible and build from there. If you disagree with that, I understand.
